These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of electric bicycles (“eBikes”) and participation in guided tours offered by Lourdes eBikes. By booking a rental or tour, the customer (“you” or “the client”) accepts these terms in full. French law applies to all services provided, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of France.
You must be at least 18 years old to rent an eBike or book a tour. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian who assumes full responsibility.
Reservations can be made online, by phone, or in person.
A full payment or deposit (as specified at booking) is required to confirm your reservation.
Accepted payment methods: Credit card, debit card, or cash (on site).
Prices are listed in euros (€) and include VAT where applicable.
Client-Initiated Cancellations:
Cancellations more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time: 100% refund.
Cancellations 24–48 hours before: 50% refund.
Cancellations less than 24 hours before, or no-shows: No refund.
Company-Initiated Cancellations:
If Lourdes eBikes cancels due to unsafe weather conditions, insufficient participants (for group tours), or other unforeseen circumstances, a full refund or rescheduling will be offered.
Changes to reservations (date, number of participants, etc.) must be requested at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability.
All riders must wear helmets (provided) during the rental or tour.
You agree to use the eBike in a safe, lawful, and responsible manner.
eBikes are only to be used on designated cycle paths and roads. Off-road use is prohibited unless part of a guided tour.
The client is responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of the eBike and accessories during the rental period.
A security deposit (via pre-authorisation on a credit card) may be required before the rental.
In case of theft or loss, a police report must be filed immediately, and Lourdes eBikes must be informed without delay.
Charges for damage or loss will be based on the current market value of parts and labor.
Lourdes eBikes provides liability insurance for guided tours.
It is the client’s responsibility to have appropriate personal accident and liability insurance.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Riders must follow the French Code de la Route (highway code).
Any fines or penalties incurred during the rental period are the client’s responsibility.
Lourdes eBikes reserves the right to refuse service to any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who behaves dangerously.
Lourdes eBikes is not liable for injuries, accidents, or damages caused by client negligence or failure to follow safety instructions.
Participation is at your own risk, and by signing the rental or tour agreement, you accept this.
Lourdes eBikes shall not be held liable for non-performance caused by events beyond its control, such as natural disasters, strikes, war, or government restrictions.
Client data will be handled in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Lourdes eBikes will not sell or distribute your information to third parties.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of Tarbes, France.
